Motorhome life in Sulzemoos

Hi there,
Well we have been living in our new home on wheels for 3 full days. It has been a real learning curve for us. From the little vw we drive that has minimal accessories to a mobile home that has a house board showing you how much water you have in your tanks, both fresh and waste water, the temperature and the voltage available. Mili has soon learnt that his 20minute showers are a thing of the past and that 2 minutes is a luxury. I have disposable gloves to empty the waste cassette. No matter if you have a half a million dollar motorhome or a 20,000 euro motorhome everyone is the same when it comes to sewage disposal. That's where we all meet up and exchange stories of where you are from and where you are headed. Some just empty their "stuff" and move on, others choose to chit chat. I don't chit chat as "Ich nicht sprechen Deutsch", Enschuligen.

We are really warm inside. I like to heat the cabin to about 30degrees. Nice. This morning was a real thrill when we woke up on Easter Sunday and I looked out the window I saw that it was snowing. I jumped out of bed like a kid all excited. Mili kept covering me and saying put some clothes on its snowing. I was so excited to see the snow. I came totally unprepared for this cold weather. Days have been spent stocking up with supplies, linen, clothes and just setting up a small home   As my sister termed it in an email "Like a little bird setting up it nest". Its like we have moved. Luckily it is a small studio apartment .

Next week we plan to head out of this little area called Sulzemoos and start to explore our surroundings. We are still learning the ropes. Sulzemoos is located North of Munich about 30km and 195km North of Salzburg. We joke about going to Salzburg for breakfast but decided not too. Our motorhome sales team have given us a 7day voucher at a lovely resort in Austria. We look forward to enjoying the experience in Austria. Which will be our next stop after Salzburg.

Today was washing day and cleaning day so that we are ready for a new week ahead. We are familiar with the IKEA store and the local "Praktik" which is like our Australian Bunnings. That's where we purchased a hose for tank fill age as not all the stations have hoses so we figured it was best to buy our own and always be prepared. We also bought a little clothes horse so that I could hang the washing and an iron.

We go to the local supermarket which is so unreal. My sister would love it. They have local products which we buy. We are eating better than at home and Mili is worried that we will put on weight. No fear as soon as the days warm up we will burn the calories off with walks and exploring.

Hope all is well with you .
Sending much love from the little village of Sulzemoos in Germany.
