The water Hole

We have been away from our home for a complete week now. Last weekend was the hardest up till now. We learnt that we were inexperienced with our vehicle and that there was still much to learn in the way of technicalities. We have been very lucky to stumble across an experienced salesman who has helped us get through this learning curve.
What was the problem? We had no water for 3 days. As we filled up our tank the water leaked out the other tank. The tank has a 120litre capacity and hence the water we filled up ended up going out through the other  fresh water tank. We were up until 1am this morning pondering on all of the possibilities. After many shots of Jim Bean we finally went to bed.  Many thoughts crossed our mind. Were we taken for a ride. Was there a real problem with the tank or the pump. Were we this unlucky so early in our trip. Was our destiny to have a horrible vacation when we thought everything was running so smoothly.  Joerg who is our Bavarian assistant said to ring him if we had any questions at all. As it was Easter I thought  being considerate was a nice thing to do, after all what could he do on a public holiday.  So first thing Tuesday  morning at 8:30 I sent him a sms and told him that I would be waiting for him at the office. He called me back and asked me what the problem was and I said that we had no water. Worried , he asked if we were warm and whether we were ok  to wait for him in our mobile car until 9:30. What was another hour after a tormented night. He kept his word and was at our doorstep at 9:30.  I drove to the technical experts and they had a look at the problem and concluded that there were 2 freshwater tanks in the vehicle and that they were both open hence the over flow.  In the meantime we had no water. The house control system as I like to call it,  shows the water in the internal tank,  but the external tank is what they call a summer tank  does not show up on the panel.  Our problem has been fixed and we now know that we have two reservoirs of fresh water totalling 300litres. What joy.

As it turned out the other assistant that guided me through the control system opened both our tanks hence the over flow of water from one tank into the other. Lucky it didn’t burst. That’s a  relief.

Now that we are familiar with how the water system works we will slowly start to relax. At least I hope we will.

Sending you all much love and happiness from the small village of Sulzemoos.  I send a very special veilen dank to you Joerg we couldn’t have done this without you.
